MicroMetrics displays prices from a public market-data stream. Source timing varies by asset class, and the device checks for updates periodically. It is a desk display—not an execution platform.

Can I choose my own tickers and change them later?
Yes. The device supports an editable favorites list and browser-based settings, so you can change the symbols you care about without reinstalling firmware.
Is there a subscription, app, API key, or account?
No. MicroMetrics is designed around a $0/month model: no subscription, no API key, no companion app, and no account just to use the display.
Does it always need to stay plugged in?
No. A rechargeable battery is included. Use it unplugged when you want to move it, or keep it connected over USB-C on your desk. Wi-Fi is still needed for updated market data.
How do firmware updates work?
Use a USB-C data cable and desktop Chrome or Edge. Open the MicroMetrics updater, select the release, connect the device, install, and keep it connected through verification and restart. No Arduino IDE is required.
Is joining the pre-release list the same as ordering?
No. There is no charge and no purchase commitment. The list helps us estimate first-run production. We’ll notify interested buyers when pricing and ordering open.
